After an early start in psychedelic art and university to study Communication Design, Lawrence joined a U.S corporate, then became creative director of an advertising and PR agency. Notable successes earnt election into the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. He then sold his business, travelled widely, held senior PR roles in the New Zealand and British NHS, then led intelligence projects in the former Soviet Bloc and UXO clearance in the Orient. An offer from S.I.S. led to an influential role in the UK security industry. College teaching followed, plus voluntary social rehabilitation projects for psychiatric patients. Photography exhibited in notable galleries includes 'Chinese Gamblers, Sunshine and Her'. Magazine feature writing led to Lawrence's first novel, plagiarised to become a best seller. Blue Sniffer is his second novel. A sequel is planned for 2027.
